FILL MAUMEE INDOOR BLACK BOX
WITH LAUGHTER
ON VALENTINE'S WEEKEND!
On the coldest day of the year in Bunyan Bay,
Minnesota, owner Gunner Johnson, played by Tim Robinson, wants to sell
his bar and move to Florida. His wife Clara and former Winter Carnival
Bunyan Queen, played by Lois Dietzer, wants to stay. Pretty waitress
Bernice Lundstrom, played by Sarah Boss, wants to pursue a singing career.
Her fiancé Kanute Gunderson, played by Kevin Harrison, wants her to stay
home.
Don't miss the battle of wills that ensues when
fast-talking salesman Aarvid Gisselsen, played by Martin Boyer, promises to
bring romance into their lives through the "magic" of karaoke music!
Directed by John Oster, choreographed and assistant directed by Matt Oster,
and produced by Jennifer Oster, this hokey-joker crowd pleaser of a show
features hilarious songs like I'm A Walleye Woman in A Crappie Town, My
Smorgasbord of Love, and I Wanna Go To The Mall of America.
Waterville Playshop will stage the show in the "black
box" or smaller theater at the Maumee Indoor Theater,
601 Conant Street, Maumee, Ohio. Performances on
Friday, February 12, 2010 and Saturday, February 13, 2010 begin at 8 p.m.
The matinee on Sunday, February 14, 2010 begins at 2 p.m.
Admission is $10 for adults and $8 for
students/seniors. Tickets are available by calling 419-270-1204
until Saturday, Feb. 6th and then on a walk-in basis at the Maumee Indoor
box office beginning Sunday, Feb. 7th. Tickets are also available at the
door one hour prior to each performance. Available seating per
performance is 125.

STORY SYNOPSIS: Meredith
Wilson's classic tale of "trouble in River City, Iowa"
will come to life as Professor Harold Hill teaches the
children of the town to play musical instruments using his
"think system." Even the resident skeptic and librarian,
Marian Paroo, falls under his charms! Good-humored song-and-dance numbers
and
ballads like Shipoopi, Seventy Six Trombones, Goodnight My Someone, and
My White Knight make this an entertaining and fun family musical!
