STORY SYNOPSIS:    Meredith Wilson's classic tale of "trouble in River City, Iowa" will     come to life as Professor Harold Hill teaches the children of the town to play musical instruments using his "think system."  Even the resident skeptic and librarian, Marian Paroo, falls under his charms! Good-humored song-and-dance numbers and ballads like Shipoopi, Seventy Six Trombones, Goodnight My Someone, and My White Knight make this an entertaining and fun family musical!

Waterville Playshop is making a "call for directors" for the 2010-2011 season, which promises to be "ODDLY TASTY IN AN OLD-FASHIONED WAY!"  Kathy Bartlett and her Play-Reading Committee, with unanimous Board approval, are excited to announce the following season slate:

Please e-mail Kathy Bartlett at tazzbartlett@bex.net with your qualifications and choice of show no later than 3/24/2010.  The Board would like to conduct personal interviews at 7 p.m., Sunday, March 28, 2010 at Zion Lutheran Church in Waterville.  A synopsis of each show is available upon request.

Thanks to the time, effort, and perseverance of Business Trustee “Uncle” Sam Macera, Waterville Playshop is now a member of  Kroger’s Community Rewards Program!  If you would like to help keep our community theater efforts growing, then please follow these simple steps so that 5% of your grocery purchases--a nickel for every dollar spent--will be donated to Playshop!

 

  1. Visit your neighborhood Kroger store and sign-up for a Kroger Rewards Card.  You can do this right at the check-out or at the service counter.
  2. Register online to become an eligible participant at www.krogercommunityrewards.com.  Playshop’s Non-Profit Organization Number (NPO) is 90568.
  3. If you do not have access to online sign-up, call 1-800-837-4483 to learn about the alternative sign-up method.

 

HOW TO REGISTER:

 

Step 1: Type www.krogercommunityrewards.com into browser

Step 2:  Select your STATE.

Step 3:  Scroll down and click ENROLL.

Step 4:  Click on SIGN UP TODAY under “New Customer” section on the right.

Step 5:  Enter in your zipcode and then click SEARCH.

Step 6:  Click on the arrow to display the list of stores in your zip code and highlight your

             preferred store.

Step 7:  Enter in your e-mail and password.

Step 8:  Select any e-mail communication you would like to receive.

Step 9:  Click on NEXT.

Step 10:  Key in your Kroger Plus Shopper’s Card Number.  If it says that this card has already been used, please call the number on the back of your card.

Step 11:  Enter in your contact information.

Step 12:  Click on NEXT.

Step 13:  Verify that your account information is correct.  Check box for agreement terms and conditions and click on COMPLETE INFORMATION.

Step 14:  Kroger will send an e-mail to your personal account.  This could take up to 10 minutes.

Step 15:  Open the e-mail that Kroger sent.  Read the e-mail and click on the link within the e-mail or copy and paste it to your browser.

Step 16:  Sign in by clicking on the blue CLICK HERE button and then type in your

e-mail and password.

Step 17:  Under KROGER COMMUNITY REWARDS SECTION at right, click EDIT KROGER COMMUNITY REWARDS INFORMATION.

Step 18:  Find your organization by typing in your organization’s NPO number.

               Playshop’s is 90568.

Step 19:  Click on the organization name that you want.  Please make sure that you click on the  CIRCLE TO THE LEFT of your organization so that it becomes highlighted.

Step 20:  Click on SAVE CHANGES.

Step 21:  Scroll over the page and make sure all information is accurate.

Step 22:  You are now registered!  The next time you shop at Kroger, the following comment should appear at the bottom of your receipt….At your request, Kroger is donating to Waterville Playshop.
