ex-wife, Lilli Vannessi, in the leading roles of Petruchio and Kate in Shakespeare’s Taming of the Shrew.  Throughout the show, they fight but yet are obviously still in love with each other.

Meanwhile, due to mistaken identity, two gangsters harass Fred.  The two thugs think that Fred owes their boss money and insist on staying close to him all night.

Don’t miss an evening of laughter, love, and great music in this “play within a play!”

On the coldest day of the year in Bunyan Bay , Minnesota , owner Gunner Johnson wants to sell his bar and move to Florida .  Clara, his wife and former Winter Carnival Bunyan Queen, wants to stay.  Bernice Lindstrom, the pretty waitress, wants to pursue a singing career.  Her fiancé, Kanute Gunderson, wants her to stay home.

It’s a battle of wills when fast-talking salesman, Aarvid Gisselsen, promises to bring romance into their lives through the “magic” of karaoke and “all heck breaks loose!”

Don’t miss this hokey-jokey karaoke crowd pleaser of a show that features songs like I’m A Walleye Woman In A Crappie Town, My Smorgasbord Of Love, and I Wanna Go To The Mall Of America!

 THE MUSIC MAN

Directed by Sam Macera

Friday and Saturday, April 16 & 17, 2010

Sunday, April 18, 2010 @ 2 p.m.

Maumee Indoor Main Stage

This classic American musical chronicles the escapades of fast-talking traveling salesman, Harold Hill, as he tries to con the people of River City , Iowa into buying instruments and uniforms for a boy’s band.

His plans to skip town with the cash, despite the fact that he doesn’t know a trombone from a treble clef, are foiled when he falls for the Marian, the town librarian.  Shipoopi, Seventy-Six Trombones, Goodnight My Someone, and Pick-A-Little, Talk-A-Little are just a few of the favorite tunes featured in this family favorite!
