2008 - 2009 Season Announced!
All
shows for our 2008 - 2009 season will be held at Gateway Middle School
in Maumee.
Forever Plaid
Director: Bill Quinlin
Friday, October 3 8:00pm
Saturday, October 4 8:00pm
Sunday, October 5 2:00pm
One of the most popular and successful musicals in recent memory, this
deliciously goofy revue centers on four young, eager male singers killed in a
car crash in the 1950s on the way to their first big concert, and now
miraculously revived for the posthumous chance to fulfill their dreams and
perform the show that never was.
Singing in the closest of harmony, squabbling boyishly over the smallest
intonations and executing their charmingly outlandish choreography with
over-zealous precision, the “Plaids” are a guaranteed smash, with a
program of beloved songs and delightful patter that keeps audiences rolling in
the aisles when they're not humming along to some of the great nostalgic pop
hits of the '50s.
Screamingly
funny! Entirely enchanting, utterly entertaining, awesome!... will put a smile
on your face, a hum in your throat and a tap to your feet.

The Best Christmas Pageant Ever & Twas with a Twist
Director: Tom Wagner
Friday, December 5 8:00pm
Saturday, December 6 8:00pm
Sunday, December 7 2:00pm
In this hilarious Christmas tale, a couple
struggling to put on a church Christmas pageant is faced with casting the
Herdman kids-- probably the most inventively awful kids in history. You won't
believe the mayhem-- and the fun-- when the Herdmans collide with the Christmas
story head on!
"An
American classic."-- McCall's Magazine.
"One
of the best Christmas stories ever-- and certainly one of the funniest."--
Seattle
Times.
The Inniscap family of Ma, Pa, Dick and Jane is all abuzz with
pre-Christmas merriment when a hip delivery man brings a sad telegram. Turns out
Santa has been delayed somewhere in
Timbuktu
. Although the kids are disappointed, they realize that Christmas is really
about the birth of the Christ Child. Not to worry though. Pa Inniscap is
recruited to be Santa. His initial reluctance gives way to ho-ho-ho's as he dons
the requisite beard and red suit. Just as Pa asks to see a mirror, the real
Santa pops down the chimney.
A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to
the Forum
Director: Sam Macera
Friday, February 13 8:00pm
Saturday, February 14 8:00pm
Sunday, February 15 2:00pm
"Tragedy tomorrow, comedy tonight!" Broadway's greatest
farce is light, fast-paced, witty, irreverent and one of the funniest musicals
ever written – the perfect escape from life's troubles. “A Funny Thing
Happened On The Way To The Forum” takes comedy back to its roots, combining
situations from time-tested, 2000 year old comedies of Roman playwright Plautus
with the infectious energy of classic vaudeville. The result is a non-stop
laugh-fest in which a crafty slave (Pseudolus) struggles to win the hand of a
beautiful but slow-witted courtesan (Philia) for his young master (Hero), in
exchange for freedom.
Thumbs up for this uninhibited romp!" -The New York Times
"It's funny, true nonsense! A merry good time!" -Herald Tribune
"A good, clean, dirty show! Brings back belly laughs!" -Time
