Spirit Award

The Spirit Award is presented each year to a Waterville Playshop member who has shown their commitment to Playshop through outstanding leadership, dedication, involvement, and overall support of Playshop activities.  Only those who have been a member of Waterville Playshop for at least 5 years are eligible for the Spirit Award.

The winner is announced at the Annual meeting.  

The application and letter of recommendation must be submitted no later than April 30, 2008 to any Waterville Playshop Board Member or by mailing to:

Scholarship

Waterville Playshop awards a $150 scholarship each year to recognize students who have been active in Playshop for at least 2 years, who exhibit a supportive attitude towards community theater, and are a positive role model for other Playshoppers. 

Students must be accepted / enrolled in an accredited post-secondary program for the upcoming school year.  An applicant must complete an application form listing their specific involvement in Waterville Playshop productions and activities and also must submit a letter of recommendation.  The Board of Trustees reviews the applications and selects a student or students to receive the award.  The Scholarship Award is announced at the annual meeting.

To be eligible for the Waterville Playshop $150 scholarship, the following criteria must be met:

Applicant must be: a) a high school senior currently accepted into an accredited post-secondary program for the 2008 - 2009 school year or b) a college student currently enrolled in an accredited post-secondary program for the 2008 - 2009 school year.  Applicant must provide a copy of the acceptance letter or registration on official university stationery.

Applicant must have participated in Waterville Playshop activities.

Applicant must have a supportive attitude towards community theater.

Applicant must be a positive role model for other Playshoppers.

Applicant must complete the Waterville Playshop Scholarship Application.

Applicant must include one letter of recommendation, which should include the commender's name, address, and relationship to applicant.
